Course Description:

A unique course designed to help practitioners rejuvenate their disaster based BC plans to be more robust or give beginners a head start. Recently business continuity has evolved into a holistic form of executive scenario planning. Economic changes have shifted away from disaster models into advanced planning to promote economic viability.

Of course if your record keepers can’t seem to maintain good data backups you will remain stuck in the old IT or facility manager mentality until it’s fixed. Sadly IT/Facility plans often fail to incorporate the rapidly changing demands in the business unit. In reality these same techniques intended to prepare for natural disaster or terrorist attack can be applied in a slightly different method to exploit market opportunities to gain new business, secure agency funding and expand operations. By looking ahead into enabling flexibility an entirely new market of opportunity is visible. We may still prepare for disasters, but what about expanding services or landing contracts from a competitor? Economic disasters occur at 20 times the annual rate of physical disaster. How will you redirect your organization in time? This course covers both since nobody can survive without revenue or funding. Structurally there is very little difference between a 30% reduction in capability and 30% surge resource in demand, except the latter can generate new profits and new jobs. Both carry risks of similar magnitude. It’s simply a matter of pick the priorities of your future: grow, contract, outsource or insourced. There is a method we learned from well known founders, who lead their business to incredible success. This course is based on their experience.

The future is what we make it. Your other choice is to go down the same outdated recovery-only path used in Hurricane Katrina and countless other leadership failures. Consider this course as the guiding recipe for your organizational success. How to enable a brighter outcome without time or wasting money. It’s not rocket science.
